Potato protein feed is obtained from the cell sap of potatoes by thermal-acid coagulation, separation and drying. The finished product is a free flowing grey powder with the scent typical of dried potato protein and a moisture content of no more than 10%.
A characteristic feature of the product is high (at least 80% of the total protein content) digestible protein of more than 70% by dry weight. As a high-grade and easily digestible vegetable protein product, potato protein is a valuable component of compound feed for animals and is an excellent substitute for animal protein.
